Choosing Baby Sleepsuits and Body Suits

Babies in the summer months can live in body suits and nappies as long as you keep them in the shade, use a suitable suncream for babies and try not to expose their new skin to the sun.

Body suits come in all shapes and sizes, patterns and materials so it's worth thinking a bit about what a newborn baby's skin needs. It's also worth considering organic cotton bodysuits and sleepsuits - 100 per cent certified organic cotton body suits are thought to be even softer than 100 per cent cotton non-organic bodysuits.

Summers in the UK are particularly hot now and there is no way a baby should be anywhere outside during the middle of the day until after 3pm. Although you see lots of babies out and about in their buggies in the summer under a parasol - parasols really do not keep the sun away from baby's skin.
