The White Company was founded in 1994 by Chrissie Rucker (mum of four) and specialises in supplying a wide range of stylish home accessories, clothing and children’s clothing, principally in white.

The Little White Company – the children’s arm of The White Company offers beautifully made clothing for babies right up to children around 12 years old. The range includes gorgeous jersey cotton dungarees and trousers to beautifully crisp woven cotton dresses for gorgeous little girls. The Little White Company also offers a range of nursery furniture, toys and accessories perfect for gifts for friends with children or simply to indulge your own children.

The White Company that began life as a 12 page mail-order brochure and celebrated its tenth year in 2004 has become one of the UK’s fastest growing multi-channel retailers.

The idea for The White Company began in August 1993, when its founder, Chrissie Rucker, identified a gap in the market for beautiful but affordable home accessories in white.

The White Company was born and Chrissie decided to supply her products via mail order, to address a national market without the overheads of a retail premises. The ideas of white products and mail order were combined, and all that remained was to make it happen.

The White Company product range has diversified according to the needs of its loyal customers, and in direct relation to Chrissie’s changing lifestyle. Products for kids have grown within the main range for many years, from clothing and bed linen to accessories and furniture. To showcase the number and variety of these kids products, a stand-alone Little White Company store is now open.
