Lion in the Sun is a British company founded by Cristina and Paul Sanders in 1999 and is based in Guildford, England that specialises in swimwear for children.

Cristina, a native of New Zealand, is the managing director and takes direct responsibility for design, product development and marketing. Her husband

Paul, a chartered accountant and originally from Canada, is finance director and company secretary.

The purpose of the company is to supply high quality, fashionable sun protective swimwear to the world market. Lion in the Sun recognises that it is important children are happy with their swimwear otherwise they won’t wear it. Protective swimwear is vitally important in the fight against skin cancer in later life so Lion in the Sun make swimwear that is highly protective and looks great.

The two-piece UV approved sun protection swimwear consists of a fast-drying swim shirt and complimenting shorts. This swimwear set is great for the beach or poolside and comes in sizes from age 2 – 12 years old. It’s important to use sun cream on uncovered areas of skin.

Sizing Tip: Made to UK age sizes, but size 1 - 2 years old can be very tight on 2 year olds (particularly if they are wearing a swim nappy). You may prefer to select the 3 year old size for a 2 year old. The sizes available are 1 – 2 years old / 3 – 4 years old / 5 – 6 years old / 7 – 8 years old / 9 – 10 years old / 11 – 12 years old.
